It is my prayer that this book can serve as a vehicle for bringing God's love and saving grace to as many as can be reached. ![]() In both my native Jamaica and in my adopted homeland, the USA, God has impacted mightily on my life, and I know that God wants to do the same for others. Hoping to bring others to a relationship with their Lord and Savior, I have opened up my life in my memoir, sharing both the bad and the good as honestly as possible, witnessing the ongoing presence and activity of God in my everyday experiences. From my earliest childhood onward, I have met Jesus, heard God's Voice, and been swept up in the power of the Holy Spirit through dreams, visions, internal conversations, and encounters with others, many of which I have described in vivid detail in my book. Time after time, he has appeared to me to comfort, challenge, rebuke, encourage, provide, heal, rescue, or gave me a message to deliver. There is no doubt in my mind that Jesus Christ is real. I Know Jesus Christ Is Real, is a candid, spiritual and philosophical memoir aimed at adults. ![]() ![]() ![]() There is a design to this, of course, and any skilled reader will infer that these diverging narratives must also be converging. As the former narrative sequence moves onwards with the gusto of an adventure (will he succeed, against the odds, in getting his charge to his destination? How will he be rewarded?) the latter narrative sequence moves further and further backwards in time. ![]() The two narrative sequences are interleaved, so that the "now" chapters alternate with the "then" chapters. Occasionally he has taken time out for contemplation, in one episode finding sensual fulfilment with a lover who composes beautiful but unintelligible poetry on some out-of-the-way planet, but he has always come back to fighting. Over many years, he has been burned and blistered and variously wounded in the service of his sublimely distant, apparently all-knowing masters. Often these appear to be accounts of missions that have taxed to an extreme his capacity to survive. Meanwhile, in a second sequence of chapters, headed by Roman numerals in reverse order (XIII, XII, XI …), we are given episodes from Zakalwe's past. ![]() ![]() ![]() The fourth character, Whitney Lang, lives with her mother, while her father works and lives in another city nearby and her sister, Kyra, attends college. ![]() Jack hasn’t been feeling well, and Cody starts to drink. In the novel Tricks, the story begins with five teenagers, all residing in various parts of the United States. Somehow the ghost of Hanna appears and sabotages the ritual, resulting in Samuel Braithwhite, the Sons of Adam Lodge, and all its members, being annihilated. Atticus cooperates in order to save Leti and George and is nearly killed in the ceremony. That makes Atticus the last heir of Titus Braithwhite and a key in Samuel's ritual. We learn that Atticus' mother, Dora, was a descendant of Hanna, and therefore an illegitimate descendant of Titus Braithwhite, as well. Montrose was forced to write a letter to Atticus, in order to lure his son into the Sons of Adam's clutches. Title: Ember Queen (Ash Princess Trilogy #3) The book’s strength lies in Sebastian’s writing and her ability to make me care about all the characters - even those that I found annoying and even those who I should feel no sympathy for - as well as the relationships between them. A | A marvelous end to this outstanding trilogy that stayed consistently strong throughout the whole trilogy, Ember Queen is a great example of how to write the last book in a series. ![]() ![]() ![]() Being contacted by Jay to do an interview?
